FIREFIGHTERS COMMUNICATION TOWER ON MICMAC

Finally the tower is ready to be installed. It should be done this week or early next week. It will be very helpful for the saftey and a swifter response for the firefighters. Keep you updated as things advance.

Hmm...

I thought most were opposed to this tower, but now it seems there are some who may be in favor, or perhaps some are changing their opinion of the tower?

Regardless, one should realize that with or without the tower, firefighters will only be able to save surrounding dwellings, never able to save the primary dwelling in case of a fire. They will also be able to help prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby trees and possibly causing a forest fire.

It also seems that this tower, originally touted as a radio tower for "firefighters only" may be getting space rented for broadcast equipment from Rogers, Bell and Telus.

Suddenly we've got a tower that may be going up as a "commercial" structure, which is against the rules, if I remember correctly.
