CANADA DAY AT THE PARK GREAT SUCCESS!!!!

We would just like to say THANK YOU to Karen Sams & Alison O'Boyle for their shear determination to make Canada Day successful. We had a lovely time. Good friends. good food what else could you want? Everyone who attended brought food, drinks, chips, candies, hot dogs, hamburgers etc.etc. Great community spirit. Thank you to the O'Boyle Kids who made the Canada Day Cake, Danny and Danielle's children who were a great help in setting up. Ray and Richard Dube for cooking the hot dogs and hamburgers. There are too many to name individually, but thank you so much. We had a great time!!!

There are so many Thanks to go out. What a wonderful feeling to see everyone come together as a community so quickly and put on Wonderful Canada Day. To bad for the rained out fireworks, but we had the best weather for the evening.

At one pointed during the night I had to laugh, there we were on the BBQ, getting the hot dogs and hambergs ready and I could remember as a little girl watching the Grown ups on the BBQ. How times have changed, hearing a little girl ask me "are the hot dogs ready?" What a great feeling!

Unfortunaly I will not be able to make it in 2010 as Cordell and I are getting married on the July long weekend.

We all deserve a pat on the back. It truely warms my heart that we care so much about the Forest Lake. What wonderful memories we all have up here and continue to have and share.

Also I would like to thanks Mr. Marchand and Cameron for setting up the shelter at the park, and I forgot my camera so i do hope someone else got some pictures, especially the food tables!!

Great to hear that a good time was had by all. Did the weather cooperate? Does anyone have any photos? If you can post photos here, otherwise email your photos to me and I will post them on your behalf.

Canada Day

Thanks Judy but everyone should be very proud of themselves, it turned out terrific! What a wonderful, generous group of people who brought their Forest Lake pride and their yummy food to share. Thank you. All the smiles and laughter and hearing people say " we should do it this way again next year", catching up with everyone, was great for me too. Looking forward to Field Day with everyone, hope to see you there.
